• Advocacy Strategy Development: Assisting the association in developing a comprehensive advocacy strategy that aligns with its mission and goals. Identifying key advocacy priorities and objectives.

• Government Relations: Establishing and maintaining relationships with government officials, policymakers, and regulatory bodies. Advocating on behalf of the association to influence healthcare policies.

• Policy Position Development: Collaborating with association leadership and members to develop clear and evidence-based policy positions on healthcare issues.

• Legislative Monitoring: Monitoring the progress of relevant legislation and regulations at the provincial and federal levels. Providing timely updates on legislative developments.

• Coalition Building: Identifying opportunities to build coalitions with other healthcare organizations and stakeholders to amplify advocacy efforts. Coordinating advocacy campaigns with partners.

• Advocacy Communications: Developing and disseminating advocacy messages to members, stakeholders, policymakers, and the public. Creating communication materials, including fact sheets, position papers, and policy briefs.

• Grassroots Advocacy: Mobilizing members and supporters to engage in grassroots advocacy efforts, including letter-writing campaigns, calls to action, and advocacy days.

• Testimony and Representation: Preparing association representatives to provide testimony at legislative hearings and public forums. Representing the association's interests at relevant forums and meetings.

• Advocacy Training: Providing training and resources to association members and staff on effective advocacy techniques, messaging, and engagement with policymakers.

• Advocacy Events and Forums: Organizing advocacy events, roundtable discussions, and policy forums to facilitate dialogue with policymakers and stakeholders.
